Agotime-Kpetoe — Ewe kente
1 / 3About this experience
Ewe kente is not Asante kente, and Kpetoe is where to see the difference. The Agotime weavers work figurative motifs into the cloth — animals, drums, symbols, sometimes writing — where the Asante tradition is geometric, and they use a wider range of dyed cotton. The town holds the Agbamevoza kente festival each September. The Kente Museum here is run by the traditional council. — Indicative price.
