Fort Apollonia, Beyin
1 / 5About this experience
The last British fort built on the Gold Coast, finished in 1770 at Beyin in the far west, and named for the feast of Saint Apollonia on which a Portuguese navigator first sighted the shore. It now holds the Museum of Nzema Culture. Beyin is also the launching point for the canoe trip to Nzulezo, so the two are usually done together. — Indicative price.
