Fort Patience (Fort Lijdzaamheid), Apam

About this experience
The Dutch called it Lijdzaamheid — patience — and built it in 1697 above the fishing town of Apam, where the canoes still land on the beach below. It traded, it defended, and like every fort on this coast it held people waiting to be shipped. One of the UNESCO-listed forts of the Central Region, and the walk down into Apam's harbour afterwards is part of the visit. — Indicative price.
