About this experience

Built on the old polo ground where Nkrumah declared independence on 6 March 1957, and now where he and Fathia Nkrumah are buried. The mausoleum, designed by Don Arthur, is shaped as an upturned sword — the Akan sign of peace. The museum beside it holds his desk, his books, his car and the photographs of the Pan-African years. Fountains, a statue, and a lot of Ghanaian schoolchildren. — Indicative price.
