Nzulezo stilt village by canoe
1 / 5About this experience
About an hour's paddle through the Amansuri wetland — black water, raffia palm, kingfishers — brings you to a village built entirely on stilts over the lake, where the whole settlement stands on a single raised walkway. The community traces its founding to a migration from Walata, in present-day Mauritania. Visits are arranged with the chief and part of every fee goes to the village. — Indicative price. Entry and guide fees at this site are set by the body that manages it and change from time to time; the amount is confirmed when you book.
