Songor Lagoon and the Ada salt pans
1 / 5About this experience
A Ramsar wetland behind Ada where the sea is let in and dried off in shallow pans, and salt has been won by the same method for centuries — it is still worked by hand by the women of the Ada communities as well as by the big concessions. Thousands of terns, waders and flamingo-pink salt flats, and the raking light in the late afternoon is why photographers come. Seen with the Volta estuary on one trip. — Indicative price.
