The Ankobra comes down out of the Western Region goldfields — the Portuguese followed it inland in the 1500s looking for the source of the gold — and reaches the sea just east of Axim through mangrove and sandbar. Canoes go upriver from the bridge into the mangrove channels, and the birding is good in the early morning. — Indicative price.
